Crusaders and All Blacks utility Colin Slade is reportedly in the sights of cashed-up French second division club Pau, but New Zealand Rugby officials may well be more concerned with confirmation yet another rising star will head overseas at the end of Super Rugby.

Chiefs flyer Bryce Heem will take up a contract with English second division club Worcester Warriors after just one season in Hamilton. Heem's looming departure comes after Blues duo Charles Piutau and Francis Saili confirmed moves to Ulster and Munster for 2016, respectively.

The 26-year-old former NZ Sevens representative was a key part of the Tasman side that finished runners-up in last year's ITM Cup before establishing himself on the edges of the Chiefs backline this season.

"I am really looking forward to joining Warriors and linking up with my new team-mates in England," Heem said via a Worcester statement. "I am excited about the prospect of joining a club which is progressing rapidly and I look forward to being a part of the side and playing a role in the long-term success."

Slade, meanwhile, is yet to confirm his future beyond this season and is said to be in hot demand across Europe. But French newspaper Midi Olympique believes Pau, who've already secured the services of All Blacks centre Conrad Smith, hold the upper hand and are lining up a $NZ 720,000 offer to coax the talented playmaker away from New Zealand.

Slade has been in excellent form for the Crusaders this season, so much so that coach Todd Blackadder has shifted veteran playmaker Dan Carter to inside-centre to accommodate Slade at No.10. The 27-year-old Christchurch native is also battling Carter, Aaron Cruden and Beauden Barrett for three spots in the All Blacks' Rugby World Cup squad.
