Tahs take trial to western Sydney

New South Wales Waratahs will bank on the cross-code appeal of superstars Israel Folau and Sonny Bill Williams in western Sydney when they play their final trial match against the Chiefs at Campbelltown Stadium.

Folau and Williams were household NRL names before switching codes and the Waratahs will be hopeful the star duo pull a few extra fans through the gate when they come face to face on February 6.

The trial match will be the only meeting between the two sides in the regular season, pitting the last two Super Rugby winners against each other in what is the standout pre-season fixture.

The Waratahs will again play again take two regular-season games to ANZ Stadium, with the defending champions to face the Rebels and Crusaders at the Olympic precinct in rounds 11 and 15 respectively.
