Rebels captain Scott Higginbotham is the 2015 winner of The Growden Medal for being the most consistent player among the Australian provinces. Although Higginbotham did not poll a vote in the final round, he was still able to finish two points ahead of Brumbies backrower and former Wallabies captain David Pocock.

Higginbotham, who is about to head off for a two year stint in Japan, was a key factor in the Rebels rise up the competition ladder, providing excellent leadership throughout the season, while his backrow play was often of the highest quality. He ended up polling votes in ten matches.

The 2014 winner- Michael Hooper- made a late charge for the leadership, ending up in third spot, ahead of Reds and Wallabies half-back Will Genia. In fifth place was Brumbies half-back Nic White.
