Western Force centre Rory Sidey has been cited for a dangerous tackle during their 39-12 Super Rugby loss to the Sharks in Perth on Saturday.

The former Waratahs midfielder will face a SANZAR judicial hearing in Perth on Monday after being sent off in the 18th minute of the fixture following a spear tackle on Sharks wing Odwa Ndungane, who had earlier scored the game's first try. Sidey will also face a second charge of retaliation.

Sidey had only just joined the fray as a replacement for the unfortunate Mitch Inman, who was forced off early on with a suspected dislocated elbow.

Judicial officer Dennis Wheelahan QC will hear the case from Sydney via conference call.
