Hill rules out signing new back-row

Worcester head coach Richard Hill has revealed that he will not try to sign a replacement for injured back-row Ezra Taylor.

Samoan No.8 Taylor was carried off just two minutes into his Warriors debut against London Wasps on New Year's Day and Hill announced afterwards that the former Connacht ace had suffered a suspected snapped patella tendon.

However, while Taylor is unlikely to play again this season, Hill is unwilling to dip back into the transfer market at this stage of the season.

"I don't want to try and find another back-row," he is quoted as saying by the Worcester News. "As you saw yesterday [Sunday], that didn't work out for us.

"We've got Adam Balding, Kai Horstmann and Neil Best all out at the moment, so we'll have to hurry them up a little bit.

"Hopefully, one of those will be fit soon, but unfortunately none of them will be available for the Gloucester game on Saturday.

"After that, we've got a four-week break until our next league game, so we should be able to get one or two of them back fit by then."
