Bulls winger Bryan Habana has been ruled out of action for up to a month with a broken hand.

The Springboks international sustained the injury in his side's 16-9 Super 14 victory over the Lions in Johannesburg yesterday and club officials confirmed the injury this morning. Habana was forced out of the game at Ellis Park just short of the hour mark before the Bulls' went on record their third straight win of the season.

The 25-year-old, who has one try to his name this season, is expected to miss the forthcoming games against the Stormers and the Hurricanes with team management hopeful the winger will retutn in time for the away trip to the Highlanders on March 28.

Flanker Dewald Potgieter could also miss the match against the Stormers at Loftus Versfeld this weekend after he was diagnosed with a sterno clavicular injury. Elsewhere, fears that Fourie du Preez had suffered a recurrence of his hand injury have been allayed.
