Injured Bartoli out after wasting match points

Marion Bartoli's season ended in disappointment, as she squandered match points before retiring injured in her Tournament of Champions quarter-final clash with Anabel Medina Garrigues.
In the final tournament before the women take a well-earned break, No. 1 seed Bartoli was looking to sign off in style in Bali.
Bartoli started well and one break of serve from the solitary break point handed her the opening set.
Medina Garrigues matched her French opponent in the second set - with one break of serve apiece - and the set went to a breaker.
Bartoli fashioned a couple of match points but failed to convert - allowing Medina Garrigues to level the match.
Medina Garrigues took the opening game of the third set, which was cut short as Bartoli was forced to retire after turning her right ankle.
Medina Garrigues will face Sabine Lisicki in the semi-finals following her 7-5 6-2 win over Daniela Hantuchova.
