Andy Murray may have played his last match of the season after he revealed he may be forced to pull out of the ATP World Tour Finals with a groin injury.

The British No. 1 received treatment on the problem during his 6-4 7-5 defeat to David Ferrer at London's O2 Arena.

Murray revealed he had picked up the injury last week, and confirmed he will decide on Tuesday whether he will take any further part in the competition, with round robin matches against Tomas Berdych and world No. 1 Novak Djokovic still to come.

"I'll decide tomorrow whether or not I keep playing," Murray said. "You've got to do the right thing. I didn't know exactly how it was going to feel on the court today. I haven't been able to do much training this week.

"I've never really had many strains. It's more been joint problems that I've had, especially playing on hard courts. It was the first time I'd really felt anything go.

"There's stuff you can do to it, ice it, wearing compression shorts, massage. I'll have an ice bath tonight. I can decide until one minute before the match on Wednesday if I want to, so I'll see how I feel tonight and decide [on Tuesday]."
