Murray shrugs off injury concerns

Andy Murray has admitted he is having to manage a knee injury, but is confident it will not affect him in his Dubai Duty Free Championship semi-final with Novak Djokovic.

Murray has battled his way into the last four, with his win over Tomas Berdych on Thursday being far from convincing.

During the 6-3 7-5 win, Murray was seen regularly flexing his right knee and grimacing in pain. He got the job done in two sets, which was a relief to the British No. 1.

"In the end I had to sort of fight through, I was not hitting the ball too well towards the end and was getting a little nervous," he told Sky Sports. "It was good to come through. I have lost to him the last couple of times so it was important."

Murray has been troubled by the knee problem since the start of the year, but claims it does not prevent him from dashing around the court.

He said: "I have had a little problem with it for most of the year so far. It was there in Brisbane. It is going to come and go and I have got to try and get it better.

"It is not something that stops me playing, it is just annoying. It is something I want to get rid of but it does not stop me getting around the court. It is just uncomfortable at times."
