Tsonga confirms Queen's participation
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will attempt to go one better at Queen's Club after confirming his participation in the AEGON Championships in June.
The world No. 6, who reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon last year, will begin his preparations for the grass-court slam at the traditional warm-up tournament, where he reached the final last year.
Tsonga is ranked at world No. 6 after an impressive 2011, and he credits Queen's, where he fell in the final to British No. 1 Andy Murray, as the springboard to his season.
"I had an incredible year in 2011, and it all started there [at Queen's]," Tsonga said. "For me it is really nice, the organisers are very friendly with me, I like the crowd, and it was a really good atmosphere in the final.
"I know that I can beat everybody on grass, so why not? I know on grass that I am a good player. I go to the net and I serve well."
Murray, who fought back to beat Tsonga 3-6 7-6(2) 6-4 in last year's final, has already confirmed his intention to go for a third title at the AEGON Championships, which begins on June 11.
