Keothavong bounces back as Wozniacki survives wobble

Anne Keothavong claimed her first win on the WTA Tour since February as she booked her place in the second round of the e-Boks Open in Copenhagen.
The British No. 2 looked to be heading for a sixth straight Tour level defeat when she dropped the opening set to Hungarian qualifier Melinda Czink but rallied to claim a 4-6 6-2 6-3 victory.
"Pleased to get the win today," Keothavong posted on her Twitter page. "It was a well fought match with some good stuff."
Next up for Keothavong will be second seed Angelique Kerber after the German came from a set down to beat Stephanie Foretz Gacon 4-6 6-2 7-5.
Top seed and defending champion Caroline Wozniacki remained on course for a hat-trick of titles at her home event, but not without a scare against Urszula Radwanska. The Pole served for the opening set at 5-3, but Wozniacki dug deep to level before clinching the opening set on a tiebreak.
The second set went Wozniacki's way as she wrapped up a 7-6(4) 6-2 win after a shade over two hours on court.
Wozniacki's best friend and doubles partner Malou Ejdesgaard was handed a wildcard for the event, but the Dane bowed out without winning a game as she was humbled 6-0 6-0 by France's Alize Cornet.
Fourth seed Monica Niculescu saw off Russian Valeria Savinykh 6-2 6-2, while Germany's Mona Barthel also progressed with a 6-3 6-4 win over Johanna Larsson.
Meanwhile, at the Barcelona Ladies Open, former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone failed to find her form on clay as she was dumped out by Olga Govortsova 6-4 6-3.
Second seed Julia Goerges had no such problems as she sailed past Aravane Rezai 6-4 6-0 at the Vall d'Hebron venue.
Third seed Dominika Cibulkova coasted past Iryna Bremond 6-0 6-3, while Flavia Pennetta defeated Spaniard Lara Arruabarrena-Vecino 6-0 6-4. However, the home crowd had something to cheer about when home favourite Carla Suarez Navarro beat Italian qualifier Annalisa Bona 6-3 6-1.
