Murray pulls out of Madrid Masters

Andy Murray has pulled out of next week's Madrid Masters due to a back injury.
The 25-year-old has withdrawn from the event on doctor's orders, although the world No. 4 still hopes to play in the Rome Masters the week after - as he ramps up his preparation for the second grand slam event of the year at Roland Garros, which begins on May 27.
"It is with regret that on doctor's advice I have to withdraw from the Mutua Madrid Open with injury," Murray said in a statement on the tournament website.
"I always love coming to Madrid so it is a big disappointment. I look forward to returning next year and wish everyone a great week of tennis."
Due to Murray's absence, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will be the No. 4 seed when the draw is announced on Saturday.
Murray won the Madrid tournament in 2008, when it was still a hard court affair. However, he has never been beyond the last eight since it became a clay court event three years ago.
