Agnieszka Radwanska faces a race to be fit in time for Saturday's Wimbledon final after falling ill.

The world No. 3 cancelled her press conference on Friday because of a respiratory illness. She had to cut short her press conference following her win over Angelique Kerber on Thursday after a coughing fit.

Radwanska also withdrew from the women's doubles on Wednesday in which she was competing with sister Urszula.

"Unfortunately I have picked up an upper respiratory illness, which is affecting my nose and throat. I have been playing a lot of matches here in the rain and cold wind, and I haven't been well for a few days.," Radwanska said.

"The most important thing is that I'm feeling good on the court and playing some good tennis, despite not being able to talk much away from the court. The priority is my singles match tomorrow, so I will do whatever it takes to make sure I'm ready to play the best I can."

Radwanska, who will become world No. 1 if she can beat Serena Williams on Saturday, is the first Polish grand slam finalist for 73 years.
