Janko Tipsarevic, the top seed at the Suisse Open, is through to the weekend's final after beating Paul-Henri Mathieu on Saturday.

Tipsarevic has been in hot form this week at Gstaad, winning his quarter-final in 62 minutes, dropping three games. He needed slightly longer to get by Mathieu, but the world No. 8 still had more than enough to chalk up a 7-6(10) 6-3 victory.

In a tight opening set both men exchanged a break of serve as a somewhat inevitable tiebreaker loomed. Tipsarevic, who had served seven aces and looked good behind his first serve, took the initiative and rode out a tense breaker 12-10.

The second stanza was far more heavily weighted in Tipsarevic's favour, with the Serb creating seven break points in the first six games. He converted one to set up victory, which arrived after a little over two hours on court.

Tipsarevic will meet Thomas Bellucci in Sunday's final after the Brazilian beat Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets. Bellucci required two tiebreakers to get the job done and emerged a 7-6(3) 7-6(5) winner.

At the German Tennis Championships in Hamburg, the final will be contested by Juan Monaco and Tommy Haas. Monaco was first to book a spot in Sunday's showpiece with a 3-6 6-3 6-4 victory over Nicolas Almagro, and he was later joined by Haas thanks to a 7-6(7) 6-0 triumph over Marin Cilic.
