Andy Murray believes the London 2012 Olympics will provide him the perfect platform to overcome his Wimbledon heartbreak.

Murray lost the final at the All England Club to Roger Federer a fortnight ago as he aimed to become the first Brit to win the men's singles title in 76 years. The world No. 4 was reduced to tears after the loss, but says he has made strides in moving past the disappointment.

"I actually went on a few days after the final and sat on the court for a little bit, but it was nice coming back [to train on Monday]," said Murray. "There was a good vibe and now it's time to look forward to the Olympics.

"You don't look back really, you try and look forward and, like I say, this event is the perfect motivation to get over Wimbledon and get ready for it.

"You've got the Olympics and then three weeks after you have the US Open, so it's a really important time of year. You need to move on quickly, get on the practice court and do some work."

Novak Djokovic, warmed-up with Murray on Centre Court on Monday, and the Scot also took part in the torch relay. Murray joked afterwards that he almost burned down the Olympic venue as he ran the historic leg.

"It was great, it was obviously a big honour, a bit nerve-wracking as well. I was coming in underneath Wimbledon, and apparently I caught the flame a little bit on the ceiling, so I was trying to be careful," Murray said.
