No injury concerns for Murray

Andy Murray shrugged off concerns over his fitness after easing into the third round of the Cincinnati Masters in Ohio.

Making his first appearance since pulling out of last week's Rogers Cup with a knee injury, Murray showed no signs of discomfort as he cruised to a 6-2 6-4 victory to set up a third-round clash with Jeremy Chardy.

The quick transition from grass to the hard courts appeared to give the Scot some issues in Toronto last week, but the world No. 4 is confident he has suffered no long-term damage.

"It felt much better on the court," he said. "I moved well, so hopefully it won't be a problem. I was expecting a tough match and I think that helped me. I was very sharp at the beginning of the match, and I needed to be. It was a good start to the tournament."

Querrey, who beat Murray on their last encounter in Los Angeles back in 2010, noticed a change in his opponent, both in terms of his game and his confidence.

"He's playing great," Querrey said. "He's confident coming off the Olympics. He's moving well. He's passing great."
