David Ferrer will arrive in London for the ATP World Tour Finals in red-hot form after winning a second title in as many weeks at the Paris Masters.

The world No. 5, a winner in Valencia last week, denied Polish qualifier Jerzy Janowicz an historic win as he claimed a 6-4 6-3 victory at Palais Omnisport.

The victory saw the Spaniard claim his seventh trophy of the season - and his first Masters 1000 title.

Janowicz, playing in his first Masters event, had defeated five top 20 players - including Andy Murray - en route to the final, but he came unstuck against a supremely confident Ferrer, whose consistency cancelled out the Pole's 11 aces.

World No. 69 Janowicz, who is set to climb into the world's top 30 following his spectacular run in Paris, started brightly but the week's exploits began to take their toll as Ferrer took control of the match.
