Defending Davis Cup champions Spain have all-but-confirmed Roger Federer's withdrawal from their first round tie with Switzerland by announcing Logrono as the venue.
Spain begin their quest for a third consecutive title with a home draw, allowing them to pick the venue.
Unsurprisingly they have opted for the Plaza de Toros de Ribera bullring, adored for its famed wine-growing surroundings, but feared for its impenetrable reputation in Davis Cup competition.
Rafa Nadal and Co have not lost in their last 18 home ties, and Switzerland's cause will not be helped by the fact Roger Federer has already confirmed he will not play on clay so close to the hardcourt Masters event in Indian Wells and Miami.
Stanislas Wawrinka will be expected to lead the Swiss opposition.
