Andy Murray is refusing to add any more tournaments to his schedule ahead of the French Open, despite failing to make the quarter-finals of the Rome Masters.

Murray moved up to number four in the world in the latest tennis rankings, despite suffering defeat to David Ferrer in Rome, where the Scot once again showed little sign of mounting a realistic challenge on the clay courts of Roland Garros.

Madrid will be Murray's next appearance, starting on May 9, in a tournament that represents his last chance to cobble together his splintering game. The Briton was happier with his performance in Rome though, and he feels rest is more beneficial than practice ahead of the French Open.

"I want to stick to the plan that I set out. This week I felt so much better than I did in Monte Carlo," said Murray, who leapfrogs Juan Martin Del Potro into the world No. 4 spot.

In the WTA rankings, Justine Henin is back in the top 20 after winning her first Tour title since coming out of retirement. The Belgian beat Sam Stosur in three sets to take the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart.

"It's very emotional to be back because one year ago at this time I never expected to be back," said Henin, who moves up to the world No. 19 spot. "It's been a fantastic week, everything was just perfect."

Meanwhile, beaten finalist Stosur rises to number eight in the world.

"Getting to the final was really good, it's been a great week," reflected Stosur. "She (Henin) just got very aggressive in the third set, she put me under a lot of pressure and broke my serve three straight times."
