Ward gets Queen's Club wild card
James Ward has been handed a wild card for June's AEGON Tennis Championships at The Queen's Club.
The British No. 2 made the semi-final of the London event in 2011, defeating then-fourth seed Stanislas Wawrinka in straight sets before completing victory over Sam Querrey.
Ward, 26, helped Great Britain stun Russia in the Davis Cup in April, and tournament director Chris Kermode admitted there was no hesitation inviting him back to Queen's.
"James Ward made a huge impression on the crowd in reaching the semi-finals in 2011, and his performance in Davis Cup recently was heroic," Kermode said.
"The head of men's tennis in Britain, Leon Smith, had no hesitation in recommending James for a wild card and we look forward to welcoming him back in June."
