Murray begins Wimbledon third on Centre Court

British No. 1 Andy Murray will begin his Wimbledon campaign against Benjamin Becker third on Centre Court on Monday.

The No. 2 seed was picked to face the German in the first round when the draw was made on Friday, and will follow Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova's opening matches on the All England Club's showpiece court.

Federer plays Victor Hanescu in Centre's first match of the tournament, while No. 5 seed Rafael Nadal is second on No. 1 Court against Steve Darcis.

Sixth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will begin his assault when facing Belgium's David Goffin third on No. 2 Court, while Britain's James Ward will be looking for first round victory over Yen-Hsun Lu when third on Court 12.

Youngester Kyle Edmund is in action against Jerzy Janowicz second on No. 3 Court, after Elena Baltacha's opener with Flavia Pennetta.

Johanna Konta plays Jelena Jankovic second on Court 12, while Samantha Murray is second on Court 10 against Camila Giorgi.

Second seed Victoria Azarenka opens proceedings against Maria Joao Koehler on No. 1.
