Laura Robson is simply aiming for consistency ahead of her first ever appearance in the fourth round of Wimbledon, amid the growing pressure of expectation.

Robson became the first British woman since 1998 to reach the last-16 of the championships, having seen off 10th seed Maria Kirilenko, Marianna Duque-Marino and Marina Erakovic in the first week.

The British No. 1, who made the fourth round of the US Open in September after defeating grand slam winners Kim Clijsters and Li Na, faces a tough fourth round match with Kaia Kanepi for a place in the quarter-final and possible showdown with world No. 1 and defending champion Serena Williams.

However Robson, who plays Kanepi for the first time in her career when they meet on Court One on Monday, has her head firmly on her shoulders and insists she is solely concentrating on achieving a consistent game.

"I can definitely play better, but it's tough to play your best tennis all the time," Robson said. "What I've been working on is just accepting that I'm not going to play great tennis in every match.

"I might have a couple of good games here and there, but the majority of the time I'm just going to have to work on being super consistent and go from there."
