Serena Williams is through to the semi-finals of the Rogers Cup after making light work of Magdalena Rybarikova in Toronto.

The world No. 1, seeking her eighth title of the season, breezed past her Slovakian opponent 6-1 6-1 in little more than an hour.

Williams, who has lost just ten games so far in this tournament, will play third seed Agnieszka Radwanska, who edged Sara Errani 7-6(1) 7-5.

"I'm definitely feeling pretty good, playing much better than I have in the past month," said Williams, who has won all eight of her matches since losing to Sabine Lisicki in the fourth round at Wimbledon last month.

Of her next opponent, she added: "She does everything so well and she's having a much better year. It's going to be an interesting match. It's definitely not going to be easy."

Meanwhile, defending champion Petra Kvitova is out after losing 4-6 7-5 6-2 to unseeded Romanian Sorana Cirstea.

Cirstea now faces Li Na, who beat Dominika Cibulkova 7-6(1) 6-2.
