Nadal to make Davis Cup return
Rafael Nadal is set to make his return to the Davis Cup this month when Spain take on Ukraine in the World Group play-offs.
The world No. 2 has not featured for his nation since they won the competition for a fifth time in December 2011 after missing the majority of the last season with a knee injury. In Nadal's absence Spain reached the 2012 final but lost 3-2 to the Czech Republic.
The Royal Spanish Tennis Federation said in a statement: "Rafael Nadal is returning to the team after being absent for the last five play-offs because of a serious knee injury that kept him off the courts for seven months last year."
Nadal is set to face Philipp Kohlschreiber in the last-16 of the US Open later today, where he and Roger Federer are both one match away from meeting in the quarter-finals at Flushing Meadows.
