Robson into second round at China Open

British No. 1 Laura Robson booked her place in the second round of the China Open after seeing off Klara Zakopalova in three sets.

Robson won 7-6(3) 4-6 6-1 against the world No. 33 from the Czech Republic, and will now turn her attention to Angelique Kerber of Germany.

Robson, 19, is still seeking her first WTA title.

Elsewhere, Serena Williams beat Elena Vesnina 6-4 6-2 while Agnieszka Radwanska saw off Stefanie Voegele 4-6 6-4 6-4.
