Heather Watson sealed consecutive victories for the first time since February by making it through to the quarter-finals of the ITF tournament in Poitiers.

In a bid to recover some form after a difficult time on the WTA circuit, the Briton overcame Lucie Hradecka 6-1 4-6 6-4 to collect a second win at the event, picking up only her third win in the space of two months.

After suffering from glandular fever, Watson failed to make an impact and slumped to three straight losses in her last three events on the WTA circuit.

And by extending her campaign after dropping to No. 133 in the world having been at a career-high 39 in February, Watson marches into the last eight following a hard-fought win over the world No. 156.

Watson was off to a flyer after taking the first set to the loss of one game, and after seizing the immediate break in the second was playing with a confidence that had been missing from her game for quite some time.

However, Hradecka hit back to recover the break and force a decider. Once again Watson was able to break, but unlike the second set Watson held on to see off her Czech opponent.
