British No. 1 Laura Robson will begin to work with Nick Saviano after the 19-year-old kicked off her preparations for the 2014 at the American's academy in Florida.

Robson split with Andy Murray's former mentor Miles Maclagan in October, with Maclagan now being hired by ex-US Open champion Sam Stosur.

Robson slumped to early round defeats towards the end of the season having reached the fourth round of Wimbledon, and now the Briton will turn to 57-year-old Saviano in a bid to rediscover her previous good form.

Saviano is the coach of Robson's friend and Canadian teenager Eugenie Bouchard, and it is believed that Saviano will continue to be with Bouchard for the major events.

Jesse Witten, a former player who was ranked 163 in the world, will be alongside Saviano and is set to be Robson's hitting partner during events.
