Djokovic criticises ATP, demands more power for players

Novak Djokovic has once again criticised the ATP and has called on the organisation to focus more on the players rather than tournaments.

The Serb expressed his anger with the ATP at the World Tour Finals in November following the anti-doping suspension of fellow countryman Viktor Troicki, blasting them for not supporting Troicki after his ban was reduced from 18 months to 12. Djokovic also lashed out at WADA for the handling of the case.

And once again Djokovic has raised the concerns he has with the ATP, demanding they take into consideration the thoughts and ideas of the players rather than the events.

"First thing that I would tackle would be the relationship between players and the ATP," Djokovic told Sport360.com.

"I wish they would take our interest in front of others. It makes no sense to have them represent both players and tournaments when our interests conflict so much. It should be separated or, at the very least, handled better."

Djokovic, who won the World Tour Finals in London, expressed his worries of the structure in place during the week of the event.
