Great Britain beaten in doubles as USA fight back

Great Britain's pairing of Colin Fleming and Dom Inglot were beaten by the Bryan brothers in four sets in the doubles encounter, which kept the USA in the Davis Cup tie in San Diego.

With Andy Murray and James Ward securing wins in the singles on Friday to send Great Britain into a 2-0 lead, the Americans collected their first win of the encounter, with Bob and Mike Bryan taking victory in the doubles over Fleming and Inglot 6-2 6-3 3-6 6-1.

Murray was originally scheduled to partner Fleming in the doubles, but Great Britain captain Leon Smith chose to rest his star man ahead of the singles rubbers on Sunday.

But the pairing of Fleming and Inglot were outplayed by the Bryans, who kept the tie alive in San Diego with a convincing victory.

Murray will face Sam Querrey in the opening singles match on Sunday, with the latter needing to upset the reigning Wimbledon champion to force a deciding rubber between Donald Young and Britain's James Ward.
