Murray targeting Rafa revenge
Andy Murray is hoping to get the ultimate revenge for his French Open thrashing at the hands of Rafael Nadal - by beating the world No.1 at Wimbledon.
Nadal dismantled Murray in just 100 minutes on Friday, winning 6-3 6-2 6-1 to set up today's final against Novak Djokovic.
Now Murray wants to turn the tables on clay-court specialist Nadal on his way to what he hopes will be a successful defence of his Wimbledon crown.
"Yes, I would like to play him on grass and I would like to play him soon," Murray said.
"That would mean going deep into the tournament. Someone told me I could be seeded in the top four now, so that would mean getting to the semi-finals or the final.
"It's different on grass because it is impossible for the ball to bounce that high.
"And it's easier to get free points on your serve. Grass favours the one who hits the flatter ball."
Murray, who has appointed former women's world No.1 Amelie Mauresmo as his new coach, will next week attempt to defend the Queen's title he won on his way to Wimbledon glory last year.
He added: "It's important, but the thing is the better you do at the French Open the harder playing at Queen's becomes.
"I will take a day off, so I really only have a couple of days to get used to grass again.
"It will be a tough time for me but hopefully when Wimbledon comes around I will have had enough time on the grass at Queen's and be ready for a fun few weeks."
