Lopez shocks second seed Berdych at Queen's
Feliciano Lopez provided a shock in west London as he knocked out second seed Tomas Berdych to reach the semi-finals at Queen's.
Lopez secured a 6-4 7-6(6) victory in just over one hour 30 minutes on court to set up a last four meet with Radek Stepanek, who followed up his victory over Andy Murray by coming from a set down to beat Kevin Anderson.
Top seed Stanislas Wawrinka cruised through to the final four with a 7-5 6-3 victory against Marinko Matosevic. Wawrinka did not face a single break point in his 70 minutes on court and will now face Grigor Dimitrov for a place in the final.
Stepanek, who defeated champion Murray in straight sets on Thursday, lost the opening set 6-1 to seventh-seeded Anderson.
However, the Czech, who was being supported by fellow countryman and Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, fought back to take the next two sets 6-3 6-2 to secure victory.
Dimitrov is into the semi-finals after his opponent Alexandr Dolgopolov withdrew from the event with a right thigh injury. Dolgopolov suffered the problem during his doubles match with Ernests Gulbis on Thursday.
