Andy Murray cannot face Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic or Roger Federer until the semi-final stage at Wimbledon after the defending champion was named No.3 for SW19.

Djokovic has been named top seed for the tournament, which begins June 23, with French Open winner Nadal the second seed and seven-time champion Roger Federer fourth.

Australian Open winner Stanislas Wawrinka is seeded fifth, with Grigor Dimitrov - who won his first grass-court title at Queen's Club last week - seeded No.11.

Murray has benefited from the unique seeding system of the men's draw at Wimbledon, which is the only grand slam not to use the current world rankings to determine the order. Instead, seeds are worked out using a formula which takes into account form on grass courts over a two-year period.

In contrast, the women's side is determined by current world rankings so Serena Williams will be No.1 with Maria Sharapova - victorious in the last Grand Slam event in Paris last month - at No.5. Li Na is seeded second while Caroline Wozniacki will be the No.16 seed.
