Anderson warns Murray: One title is enough

Kevin Anderson will be aiming to beat a man he cheered to last year's Wimbledon title when he takes on Andy Murray later today.

The pair meet in the fourth round on Centre Court and Anderson has warned his opponent not to get too greedy, telling him that one Wimbledon title is enough.

"I was happy to see [Murray] win," Anderson said. "It always comes down to the same few guys and, for them, each Major counts on that all-time slam list.

"You couldn't help but hope for Andy last year. I mean, I really enjoy watching Novak playing, but at this tournament, given the history, I think Andy had a lot of support - even from a lot of the other tennis players.

"He has won it now, so I guess there's no need for him to go on and win two in a row!"

Anderson, the 6ft 8in No.20 seed, will make his Centre Court debut today having already played three more sets than Murray in the tournament so far. He took four sets to defeat second-round opponent Edouard Roger-Vasselin and needed five to get past Fabio Fognini in the third round, while Murray is yet to drop a set.

And although last year saw Murray relieve the pressure on him by becoming the first British man to at Wimbledon in 77 years, Anderson is burdened with expectations from his own country - he is aiming to be the first South African to reach the last 16 since Wayne Ferreira in 2000.

Anderson is prepared to give it his all. He explained: "My dad instilled a very hard work ethic in us and that has been one of my biggest attributes in being successful as a pro.

"We're into the second week of the tournament and it's against the defending champion from Great Britain! So it will be a great experience but I am going there to win."
