British interest in the Wimbledon main draws came to an end on Friday as Naomi Broady, Neal Skupski and Jamie Murray all suffered defeat in the last eight of the mixed doubles.

Skupski and Broady - who reached the second round of the women's singles for the first time last week - were defeated 6-4 6-3 by 16th seeds Aisam Qureshi and Vera Dushevina 6-4 6-3.

Murray, who won the mixed doubles title in 2007, and Australian partner Casey Dellacqua lost 6-2 3-6 6-3 to Max Mirnyi and Hao-Ching Chan.

"I'm never disappointed when I lose. It's not the be-all and end-all," Murray told BBC Sport.

"To win mixed doubles you have to put a run of five or six good matches together, and each match is a battle. It can be a bit of a lottery but I enjoy it."
