Murray and Mauresmo will do 'what it takes'

Andy Murray and his coach Amelie Mauresmo are "willing to do what it takes" after striking up a new "long-term" coaching deal.

Murray has confirmed the partnership just weeks after his Wimbledon quarter-final defeat to Grigor Dimitrov, their initial arrangement having only been in place for the grass-court season.

"I really enjoy working with her. She's helped me a lot," Murray said. "We've agreed to work together and I think both sides were willing to do what it takes to make it work long-term."

Murray has seen his ranking fall to No.10 in the world but will return to action this week alongside Mauresmo at the Canadian Open in Toronto, where he is eighth seed and will play either Nick Kyrgios or Santiago Giraldo in his first match after being given a first-round bye.

Murray had been pictured working with Mauresmo in his Miami-based training camp, before confirming the relationship would continue and said: "I really enjoy working with her. She's helped me a lot. She has integrated well with the rest of the team. It's been a good start. Now it's about me producing the results."
