Kyrgios throws a temper tantrum

Meanwhile, Nick Kyrgios was at it again as his loose temper saw him blast a ball out of the stadium and risk disqualification after racking up three separate code violations as he defeated Mikhail Youzhny. Read more here.

Baldwin the ballboy

While Kyrgios' one may have soared a little too high, Alec Baldwin did pluck another rogue ball out of the air during Maria Sharapova's win over Maria Kirilenko. Who knows, if the Hollywood thing doesn't pan out for him, he may still have a bright future as a ballboy.

Spectators were also given a treat when Arthur Ashe was lit up with a stunning fireworks display on the first night of the tournament.
