Flavia Pennetta's defence of her SNAI Open crown continued apace as she dropped just three games in her second-round win over Renata Voracova.

The No. 1 seed raced through the first set to love, breaking her opponent's serve on three occasions to showcase her dominance.

Voracova improved a shade in the second set, as she broke serve each time she earned an opening, but she was poor on her own serve and was broken on four occasions as Pennetta wrapped up victory in 55 minutes.

Jill Craybas caused a shock, as the American sent No. 4 seed Tsvetana Pironkova crashing out with a 2-6 6-2 6-2 win.

Nuria Llagostera Vives also claimed the scalp of a seed, beating Alberta Brianti 7-6(6) 6-2, while Julie Georges had no trouble in seeing off Corinna Dentoni 6-4 6-3.
