Agnes Szavay remains on course to pick up a second title in as many weeks after she beat Lucie Hradecka to reach the Prague Open final.

Szavay came into the Prague event fresh off her victory in Budapest, and that confidence has swept her through to Sunday's final. Hradecka had knocked out the fifth seed in the last eight, but she posed little problem in a 6-2 6-4 victory.

Szavay's serve is by no means formidable, and it offers plenty of opportunity to the opponent, but the Hungarian's all-round game is hugely competitive. She claimed four of six breaks in the opening set, winning 16 of 22 points on Hradecka's serve despite the Czech player not conceding one fault.

Once again Szavay was easily penetrable behind her own serve in the second set, conceding three breaks, but she retained her focus to reply on all three occasions. With the score at 4-5 Szavay broke one final time to complete victory in 80 minutes.

No. 8 seed Barbora Zahlavova Strycov will provide Szavay's opponent in the final after the Czech easily defeated Patty Schnyder 6-2 6-0.

Unlike Szavay, Zahlavova Strycov was flawless behind her own serve, winning 29 of 38 points. Schnyder was broken on five occasions in total, in a match that lasted only 53 minutes.

At the SNAI Open in Palermo, Kaia Kanepi thrashed Romina Oprandi 6-3 6-2 to book a place in the final. Flavia Pennetta will be her opponent after the defending champion cruised past Julia Goerges 6-0 6-4 in just over an hour.

The Italian was ruthless in the first set as Goerges failed to win a single game and although the German earned a break of serve in the second, Pennetta made two breaks of her own to remain on course to retain her title.
