Williams sisters intend to play Fed Cup final

Serena and Venus Williams have boosted the USA's Fed Cup chances after making themselves available to play in the final against Italy.
The sisters have not competed in the Fed Cup since 2007, but told the US Tennis Association that they plan to play in San Diego in November.
With Melanie Oudin, Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Liezel Huber to choose from, USA captain Mary Joe Fernandez hailed her squad of players as "one of the strongest lineups in years."
"You always want to have your best players," Fernandez said. "I am very excited that Venus and Serena have made themselves available."
Despite a show of intent from the Williams sisters, Fernandez will no doubt have a contingency in place. The sisters were due to play in the semi-finals in March before pulling out at the last minute with injuries.
