Murray hails 'perfect' US Open build-up

Andy Murray is taking the positives from his quarter-final exit at the hands of Mardy Fish at the Cincinnati Masters, insisting he will be in peak form going into the US Open.
Murray defended his Rogers Cup title in Toronto last week, and believes having an extra couple of days to rest before the final Grand Slam of the year kicks off a week on Monday will be an advantage.
"It's been perfect," Murray told BBC Radio 5 Live. "I think I've played enough matches. It might be a good thing I lost today."
"I don't think it was a match too far, I nearly got it done, but I just could have had a little bit more luck with the way the schedule turned out and it might have been a different match."
Murray struggled in the soaring temperatures in Cincinnati, having played in the afternoon heat on all three of his matches, but he believes three physically demanding matches will give him the edge at Flushing Meadows.
"Physically this week has been good for me," he said. "I came in a little bit tired after the previous week and played three long matches, so in terms of match fitness I'll be fine going into the US Open."
