David Ferrer revels in Rio glory

Andy Murray has moved up to third place in the ATP Tour world rankings after Rafael Nadal failed to reach the final of the Rio Open.

Nadal lost his first semi-final on clay for 12 years this weekend to Fabio Fognini and falls to fourth in the standings.

British No.1 Murray, who reached the Australian Open final in which he lost to Novak Djokovic last month, is in action in this week's Dubai Championship, where he begins against Luxembourg's Gilles Muller on Tuesday.

Murray reached a career-high world No.2 in August 2009.
