Rafael Nadal has confirmed he will return to Queen's Club in 2011.

Just a week after completing a career Grand Slam at the US Open, the world No. 1 has given the AEGON Championships an early boost by committing to the traditional warm-up event for Wimbledon.

Nadal, who won the title in 2008, has reached the Wimbledon final after each of his four appearances at Queen's.

"I love playing at The Queen's Club because it is a traditional club," said Nadal. "Every time I have played there I have felt very welcome because of the British people and their support, and because of the tournament organisers who are so good at their job.

"After the French Open, it is very important for me to feel the grass under my feet as soon as possible."

Tournament director Chris Kermode admitted Nadal's early assurance was a boost for the event.

"Rafa's achievements over the past six months have been astounding, and we are thrilled that he has made such an early commitment to play at the AEGON Championships in 2011," he said.

"He has reached the Wimbledon final in all of the years that he has played at our event, and the way that he won the French Open last year and stepped straight out onto the grass courts to practise the following day showed just how much he wants to do well. He is hugely popular with all of our spectators, sponsors and staff and we look forward to seeing him next June."
