Brazil's Thomaz Bellucci has completed his second stunning upset in two days to win the Movistar Open in Santiago after defeating Juan Monaco of Argentina 6-2 0-6 6-4 in the final on Sunday.

On Saturday Bellucci knocked out hot favourite and four-time winner Fernando Gonzalez in the semi-finals, and he proved it was no fluke by beating the tournament's second-seed despite failing to win a game in the second set.

It was a match defined by swinging momentum, with Monaco responding to Bellucci's hot start in fine fashion and looking likely to go on and win the match in a third and deciding set.

Bellucci scored one less point than Monaco over the course of the match, but he was able to produce the right ones at the crucial moments, breaking Monaco once in the final set to clinch his second career title.

Bellucci, 22, is a star on the rise in the ATP Tour and has every chance of cracking the top 20 this year after reaching a career high of world No.34 before the Australian Open last month.
