I was desperate to avoid Murray, admits Nadal

Rafael Nadal has confessed that he was desperate to avoid Andy Murray, who he faces in the last four, at the ATP World Tour Finals.
The world No. 1 booked his semi-final place by racing through the group stage with three straight victories, finishing with a 7-6 6-1 dismissal of Tomas Berdych.
Now he will do battle with home favourite Murray after the Scot qualified on Thursday with a routine 6-2 6-2 victory over David Ferrer.
Murray has been volatile in the tournament so far - excellent against Ferrer and Soderling, dismal when he played Roger Federer - but Nadal still fears the challenge of the world No. 5.
"I would prefer to play against someone a little bit easier," he said. "It's a very important victory. Congratulations to Tomas for the season. I have played every day a little better and today was a great match against a very difficult opponent."
