Serbia's Novak Djokovic and Ana Ivanovic maintained their unbeaten record in the Hopman Cup to end hosts Australia's hopes of victory.

The top seeds won their respective singles matches to clinch the tie, but rubbed salt in the wound with victory in the mixed doubles take their record to six wins from six in Perth.

Ivanovic suffered an injury scare to beat over Alicia Molik before Djokovic sealed the win with a 6-2 6-4 win over Lleyton Hewitt.

Former world No. 1 Ivanovic had problems with her knee, but was confident it had not caused any lasting damage. The pair then joined forces to end Hewitt and Molik's hopes of becoming the first Australian winners since Mark Philippoussis and Jelena Dokic in 1999.

Even victory over Kazakhstan on Thursday would not be enough for the hosts to qualify, while Ivanovic and Djokovic will go head-to-head with Belgium for a place in the final.

Belgium kept their hopes of making the final alive with a resounding 3-0 win over Kazakhstan. Former world No. 1 Justine Henin saw off Sesil Karatantcheva 6-4 6-3, before Ruben Bemelmans upset Andrey Golubev 6-4 6-4. The Belgian pair then won the mixed doubles 4-6 6-2 10-8
