Novak Djokovic has credited his new-look serve for his blistering start to 2011.

The Serb struggled for consistency last season as he endeavoured to adapt to his new service action.

But the world No. 3 has enjoyed an unbeaten start to the year, winning the Australian Open before successfully defending his title at the Dubai Duty Free Championship.

His win over Roger Federer in the final took his winning run to 14 straight matches, and he will look to extend his unbeaten start to the season at the Masters event at Indian Wells which begins on March 10.

Djokovic has won 90% of his service games this year, and he believes his improved serve has made all the difference.

"I'm a different player from last year," he said. "I have a serve. Last year, I was struggling a lot, I was using a lot of energy. Now I get to have some free points, which is important.

"We all know how mentally strong a player he is to be able to win against Roger in straight sets as I did is incredible, but I want to keep going."
