Murray can break Wimbledon duopoly - Djokovic

Novak Djokovic believes Andy Murray is capable of serving up an upset at Wimbledon this year.

World No. 1 Rafael Nadal is the defending champion, while Roger Federer is a six-time winner at the All England Club, and between them the pair have won every title since 2003.

But Djokovic, who won his second major at the Australian Open in January, and has lost just one match since the start of the year, believes he and Murray have closed the gap on the big two.

Murray seems to have hit a run of form just in time for the grass-court slam, and his victory at Queen's has seen his odds slashed ahead of his home event. However, Djokovic, who could well stand in Murray's path at Wimbledon, has warned the British No. 1 that it will not be easy.

"Murray is definitely right behind them," Djokovic said in the Daily Star. "The problem is Nadal and Federer always raise their level of performance in the big events like the grand slams are great champions.

"The results they have achieved in the past five or six years say everything. They are so dominant when it matters. Now there is Murray, myself, and a couple more players that believe we can win against Federer and Nadal - that is the right mindset.

Murray always plays great tennis at Wimbledon and it is not easy coping with all the pressure of being the top home player. But he's a more mature player this year than last and will do everything he can to win it."
