The Pumas have made five changes to their starting line-up as they aim to register their first Rugby Championship win against Australia.

Veteran back rowers Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe and Jean Manuel Leguizamon will both be absent, the former returning to France to join his wife and newborn child, the latter succumbing to a calf injury he sustained against Australia three weeks ago. Benjamin Macome will shift to open-side flanker while Rodrigo Baez will start at No.6.

In other changes to their pack, Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro comes in at tight-head prop, while second rower Tomas Lavanini plays his first Test against the Wallabies after returning from the suspension he received after his dangerous charge against the All Blacks.

In the backs, Martin Landajo returns to the starting scrum-half role while outside-centre Horacio Agulla returns to the starting XV. Winger Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino comes into the squad for Manuel Montero.

Argentina: Marcos Ayerza, Agustin Creevy(captain), Nahuel Tetaz, Mariano Galarza, Tomas Lavanini, Rodrigo Baez, Benjamin Macome, Leonardo Senatore, Martin Landajo, Nicolas Sanchez, Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino, Juan martin Hernandez, Horacio Agulla, Juan Imhoff, Joaquin Tuculet.

Replacements: Matias Cortese, Bruno Postiglioni, Ramiro Herrera, Matias Alemanno, Javier Ortega Desio, Tomas Cubelli, Marcelo Bosch, Jeronimo De la Fuente.
