Pumas coach Santiago Phelan has named Rodrigo Roncero in his squad ahead of their Tests with Italy and France in June.

If Roncero gets the nod then it is likely to be the last time he pulls on an Argentina shirt with reports suggesting he will hang up his boots at the end of the current campaign. He is joined in the squad by Stade Francais team-mate Felipe Contepomi but there are a host of familiar faces missing.

Phelan has decided against calling up any of the Argentina players playing in the Top 14 playoffs - Castres, Montpellier, Toulon, Racing-Metro, Toulouse and Clermont Auvergne - so the likes of Juan Martin Hernandez and Juan Imhoff are missing. There's also no place for Tigers duo Horacio Agulla and Marcos Ayerza.

Exeter Chiefs fly-half Ignacio Mieres gets a call up but his team-mate Gonzalo Camacho is absent though is expected to be in the mix come the Rugby Championship.

Argentina face Italy in San Juan on June 9 and then have two Tests against France on the following weekends.
