Jannie du Plessis will miss South Africa's tour of Europe, the Springboks prop ruled out because of a chronic shoulder injury and a hand fracture. Uncapped Cheetahs prop Lourens Adriaanse has been added to the squad. "Losing a player with Jannie's experience and ability is a big setback," South Africa coach Heyneke Meyer said. "But we're lucky to have someone like Lourens to step in. He's been part of the squad for almost the entire Test season and was one of the unlucky players to miss out on initial selection." South Africa open their tour against Wales in Cardiff on November 9 before facing Scotland at Murrayfield on November 17 and France in Paris six days later.
